TechMitten LLC is a Michigan-based, independently owned tech company building privacy-first software and practical technology solutions. LMSA, our flagship Android app, is the clearest expression of what we believe: you should own your data and your tools, not rent them.
TechMitten LLC got its start in 2011 as a small PC repair shop in Redford, Michigan. What began as fixing computers for local customers grew, over the years, into a B2B technology company offering IT support, AI-powered automation workflows, and custom software development for businesses.
TechMitten remains an independent, solo-run company today. Every product we ship carries the same hands-on approach that started in that Redford repair shop: build things that work, respect the people who use them, and never lose sight of the customer behind the screen.
LMSA was born from that same philosophy, applied to AI. Most cloud-based AI chat apps ask for your data, lock you into subscriptions, or require API keys you have to pay for monthly. We built LMSA so you could run powerful open-source models locally with LM Studio or Ollama, or access cutting-edge models through OpenRouter—all without giving up control. Today it has over 40,000+ installs and a 4.8-star rating.
